PC Builder
Enter a total budget and what you'll mainly use the PC for, and this splits it into a sensible spend per component. It won't name specific parts — prices change too fast for that to stay accurate — but it gives you a target to shop against.
These are budget allocation targets, not specific product picks — see ourGaming Gear guides when you're ready to choose parts.
How this works
- It splits your budget by fixed percentages for each use. Esports: CPU 30%, GPU 30%, RAM 10%, storage 10%, motherboard 8%, PSU 7%, case 5%.
- General and AAA gaming: CPU 20%, GPU 40%, RAM 10%, storage 10%, motherboard 8%, PSU 7%, case 5%.
- 4K gaming: CPU 18%, GPU 48%, RAM 8%, storage 10%, motherboard 7%, PSU 6%, case 3%.
- Each amount is rounded to the nearest $5. Budgets under $300 are treated as $300.
It doesn't pick parts or check prices, which change week to week. Use it as a spending target, then compare real parts at that price.
